Privacy policy
Effective July 1, 2026What we collect
To run your parking session we collect your mobile number, your vehicle's license plate, type, and color, the name on your payment card, and the zone and property where you park. If you add email login, we also store your email address and a hashed password. We never see or store your full card number; payments are processed by Stripe, our payment processor, which holds your card details under its own privacy policy.
How we use your phone number
Your number is your login. We text you verification codes, purchase confirmations, expiry reminders, extension links, and validation notices. These are transactional messages tied to sessions you start; we do not send marketing texts. Standard SMS charges from your carrier may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop reminders for future sessions; you will still receive login codes when you request them.
License plate data
Your plate identifies your session to the property. Property staff and their validators can see the plate, vehicle description, cardholder name, and session times for vehicles currently parked at their property. They cannot see your phone number or payment details.
Who we share with
The property you park at (session and vehicle data), Stripe (payment processing), and our SMS delivery provider (your number and message content). We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Retention and deletion
Session and receipt records are kept for 7 years to satisfy tax and accounting requirements of the properties we serve. You can delete saved vehicles and cards at any time from your account. To delete your account entirely, text DELETE to the number that sends your receipts or email privacy@parq.example; we complete deletion within 30 days, keeping only records we must retain by law.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, correct it, or delete it. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know and the right to opt out of sale (we do not sell data). Contact privacy@parq.example.
Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit. Card data goes directly to Stripe and never touches our servers. Access to session data is scoped by role: validators see only what they need to validate.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we post the new version here and update the effective date. Material changes affecting SMS or payment data are announced by text to active users.
